 Energy Drinks 

Energy drinks are beverages which contain large doses of caffeine and other legal stimulants like ephedrine, guarana, and ginseng. Energy drinks may contain as much as 80 mg of caffeine, the equivalent of a cup of coffee. Compared to the 37 mg. of caffeine in a Mountain Dew, or the 23 mg. in a Coca-Cola Classic, that's a big punch.

Energy Drinks today, are very popular among those which are competing and participating in sport.
But are these sport energy drinks  really helpful? and if so, How?

Sport energy drinks are very popular with sport today, but did you know that some energy drinks contain unnecessary ingredients in them, just to promote their products.

When choosing your sports drink, the decision should be  based on the sport you that you do,  Before you go and purchase sports energy drinks, answer the following questions :
 
- How long am I going to be exercising?
  - Is the area  very dry ? 
  - Is the area  very hot ? 
  - What did I eat before practice ?

If you are going to exercise for more than an hour, or in a high heat, so sport energy drinks are the right thing for you. Choose your sports drink which contain carbohydrates and electrolytes like potassium and sodium. What are all those long names, you will understand by reading the next lines.

 

Carbohydrates reduce tirednessin endurance sports. While you exercise, your body uses glucose that is stored in your body muscles as fuel.  When you exercise for a long time, the stores are depleted. And the carbohudrates in your sport energy drink replenish the depleted stores.

Electrolytes are responsible to promote the absorption of water into the body, during exercising. And thats what prevents dehydration. Electrolytes also replace the Electrolytes which are lost in your body when sweating.

Carbohydrates and Electrolytes are all that your body needs during exercise, so check your energy drinks for these ingredients, don't be fooled and think that as much names are writted on the energy drink, it make the energy drink better, it is the opposite, companies are using a lot of ingredients to look like they are helpful but the most of the ingredients are really not needed.
